21 YEARS OLD Bryan Muhumure is the founder of VITTERO, a fashion brand whose collections he describes as rich in the eyes of the people.
The student technician in architecture from Algonquin College in Ottawa released his first product in June 2021 upon his arrival in Canada.
He had always felt that the world needed what he could bring to the fashion industry.
Muhumure’s inspiration for the design came when he watched one of the biggest speeches from designer, Abloh, the owner and founder of OFF-WHITE and the artistic designer of LV, who said:
“People are the masterpieces of God, and clothing is an arts of people other than being used as essential for covering.”
He said the speech forced him to start sketching and sketching shoes, adding that this strengthened his love for fashion design.
âI love fashion because through it I can play with beautiful colors and ideas from the rough to the real world,â he said.
He revealed that fashion made him an influencer because people learn from him by doing what’s best for their lives.
Tackling the fashion industry in Rwanda, he said the next generation is in good hands as they already have great fashion designers who are young and lively with many ideas that will be Rwanda proud.
Among these, there are some with whom he has collaborated, such as Deo Amini, the founder of Urutozi Gakondo and Pacifique Muhire, founder of Intare Closets.
Muhumure has also gained people’s trust and love as well as knowledge, adding that the more he delves into the industry, the more he explores new things and ideas.
His challenge is the current one; he is not able to sell to everyone. However, he is working on many projects that he believes will strengthen his name.
